Daryl Moss, Director of O.M.A. Shopfittings has recently returned from a successful research and development trip to China. Daryl’s trip included taking in two of the worlds leading gift fairs, new mannequin manufacturers and an inspection of the O.M.A. manufacturing base in Guangzhou.

The 31st Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair attracts 64,000 buyers from 134 countries and regions around the world over. The event spans over 14 enormous pavilions and 66,065 sqm. It is the largest fair of its type and regarded as the leading source for distributors to seek out new competitive products in the gift and retail industry. In addition to the Hong Kong Fair, Daryl attended the 120th Canton China Import and Export Fair, the largest biannual China trade fair held in Guangzhou.

According to Daryl, these events are “not-to-be-missed on the O.M.A. Shopfittings research and development calendar” attendance at these events “ensures that O.M.A. consistently and consciously source the latest and greatest products and innovations for our Australian clients and allow us to stay at the forefront of custom manufacture and leading shopfitting design”.

Throughout the trip, Daryl also met with Mannequin Manufacturers in Dongguan and Changshu and was impressed with the cost-effective product offerings and good manufacturing processes they had in place. O.M.A are currently reviewing options to import new mannequin products in the future.

The trip was complete after an inspection of the O.M.A. manufacturing base in Guangzhou and a tired but exhilarated Daryl has returned home to consolidate.
